Week 2 is behind us, and it’s time to hit the waiver wire for Week 3. From veteran quarterbacks throwing monster games to wide receivers breaking out in big ways, there’s plenty of value sitting on waivers. Here are the 12 players you need to target this week before your league mates grab them.
Quarterbacks

Jared Goff – Lions
Goff exploded for over 330 yards and five touchdowns in Week 2. If he’s somehow on waivers, he’s a priority add. Detroit’s passing attack is firing on all cylinders.

Russell Wilson – Giants
Russ looked like his old self, passing for 450 yards and three scores. Available in many leagues, if you need QB help.

Drake Maye – Patriots
Maye continues to put up 20+ fantasy points weekly, showing poise and dual-threat potential.

Bryce Young – Panthers
Young threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns in Week 2. After a shaky start last year, he’s finally showing stability and could be a sneaky QB2 option.

Jake Browning – Bengals
Browning accounted for three total touchdowns in Week 2. If you’re streaming QBs, he’s a serviceable plug-and-play option in deeper formats.
🎯 Wide Receivers

Wan’Dale Robinson – Giants
Breakout alert! Robinson hauled in 8 of 10 targets for 142 yards and a TD. He’s emerging as Daniel Jones’ top option and is a must-add in PPR leagues.

Hunter Renfrow – Panthers
Renfrow is healthy again and producing: 7 catches, 48 yards, and 2 TDs in Week 2. His red zone usage makes him valuable as a WR3/Flex.

Troy Franklin – Broncos
The rookie had a strong game with 8 receptions for 89 yards and a TD, leading Denver in targets. His role is growing every week.

DeAndre Hopkins – Ravens
Hopkins may not be prime D-Hop, but he turned two catches into 64 yards and a touchdown in Week 2. He still has splash-play ability and could help WR-needy squads.

Tyquan Thornton – Chiefs
Thornton caught 2 passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. KC’s WR room is unsettled, so he’s a deep sleeper worth stashing.

Elic Ayomanor – Titans
Ayomanor posted 4 catches for 56 yards and a TD. He’s under the radar now, but Tennessee is working him into the offense more.
💪 Running Back

Bhayshul Tuten – Jaguars
Tuten showed dual-threat upside with 42 rushing yards, 32 receiving yards, and a touchdown. If you’re desperate for RB depth, he’s worth a stash in deeper leagues.
✅ Final Takeaway
These 12 players all outperformed expectations in Week 2 and could provide massive value moving forward. Whether you need a QB streamer like Goff or Wilson, a WR breakout like Wan’Dale Robinson or Troy Franklin, or a sneaky RB like Bhayshul Tuten, these names belong on your waiver radar for Week 3.
